The telugu movie Virodhi begins with the brutal murder of a corrupt Minister of Parliament Jangayya played by Ahuthi Prasad. The murder had been executed by a left rebel group, ‘Dalam’ spearheaded by Gopinath portrayed by Ajay. The protagonist journalist, Jayadev (Srikanth) gets embroiled in it as he was present there to interview Jangayya. The naxals abduct him. The incident sends ripples across the State and Central administrative offices and a rescue team is set up headed by Police Commissioner (Nagineedu).
